Welcome to Far West Aviation
Far West Aviation, together with Advanced Pilot Seminars, has developed a new line of power management computers for use with virtually all normally-aspirated and turbo-normalized aircraft. They do what other computers never have before.
We think that the APS Power Wheel will increase your understanding of your aircraft, help you operate it in a safe and efficient way, and increase your flying safety by taking your head out of the small charts and tables in your POH and keeping it in the cockpit. We hope you feel the same.
Please take a few moments to browse our site and learn about the APS Power Wheel and our other fine products.
Update April, 2006
We're pleased to announce the new PMC-NA-2600C, for pilots who fly behind the Continental IO-470-C.
Update March, 2005
We're pleased to announce two new versions of the APS Power Wheel. The PMC-NA-2400 is useful for owners of several Lycoming engines and the PMC-NA-2600 can be used by owners of some of he larger, low-compression Continental engines. We're working on other versions, as well as Turbo versions, so please check back soon if you can't find your engine in our lists.
Turbo owners: The factors we use to calculate % power are a bit different for your engine. We're working on the modifications to the Power Wheel to take these differences into account and hope to have Turbo versions of the Power Wheel available soon. You can check back here for developments, or if you'd like us to notify you, send an email to availability@farwestaviation.com and tell us which engine you have. We'll be happy to drop you a note when we have a Power Wheel for your engine.
